Covid-19 Information & Policy
We take the present risks associated with the coronavirus pandemic very seriously, and are dedicated to maintaining high standards of cleanliness across our business – both in our workshop and at our clients’ homes.
Ian works alone when in his workshop, which is regularly cleaned and contains no shared equipment. We clean work areas, surfaces and equipment frequently, with busier areas cleaned more thoroughly, and any bins emptied at the end of the day.
We have also increased the cleaning schedule of company vehicles used for transport of your goods, and have restricted passengers inside this vehicle for the time being, to reduce the risk of contamination of any items when in transit.
If we need to deliver items to your home, we will maintain social distancing guidelines and (where appropriate) aim to install any furniture or cabinetry in a timely manner.
At your home, you can expect the same professionalism Bourne’s Fine Furniture is known for. Ian will carry hand sanitiser at all times for regular use and wear the appropriate PPE, as well as keeping the appropriate social distance from all occupants.
—
For the safety of our clients, the workshop is currently closed to visitors during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, however if desired, I can send photo updates of your furniture as it’s being made.
—
If you are due a delivery or a home visit, we kindly ask if any of our clients present with any of the listed coronavirus symptoms (high temperature, persistent cough, or a loss or change to sense of smell or taste), that they let us know as soon as possible so we can delay or make alternative arrangements for your furniture.
During the pandemic, we will keep a record of all the clients we make face-to-face contact with; these records will be retained for one month and then destroyed.
