Handmade Oak Kitchen
This unique handmade oak kitchen was designed by Bourne’s Fine Furniture around the needs of the client, who was looking for a simple design with clean lines. This is one of our popular shaker style kitchens.
All the carcasses are made from veneered oak and have adjustable feet to keep the units off the floor. The kitchen doors are handmade from solid oak. All the drawers are fitted with soft-close runners and the oak doors have soft-close hinges. The bespoke cornice mould was run by Bourne’s Fine Furniture to the customer’s specification and the handles for the units were handpicked by the client from Hettich.
This bespoke kitchen also includes a tall larder for tins and dry food goods, a handmade oak breakfast bar with a neat space for the client’s microwave and loads more kitchen storage.
The base units situated under the wall units house a free-standing washing machine and tumble drier, a solution which helped save the client money.
All the handmade oak kitchen units are finished in a clear matt lacquer.
A similar kitchen to this one costs around £8,500.

We originally found Ian on the web. A “stab in the dark”. What impressed us initially was he appeared interested in what we wanted to do and, most importantly, he responded quickly and efficiently to our quotation queries. This enthusiasm and efficiency was carried through to the job itself. He proved reliable, punctual, responsive to our queries and sympathetic to our requests. Also, his obvious skill, eye for detail, perfectionism and desire to complete a job ensured we got what we wanted.
